Last week I was doing some analysis on data for Balance Sheet account. I was posting data against CLO member of Flow dimension and I had to run the Chart_OpeningBalance Rule Set in order to calculate the OPE and MVT. The problem I was facing was that everytime I had to select all the parameters for running the Rule Set. Then I posted a question in Technet Forum (http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=3844183&SiteID=17) asking if there are other ways available to execute this process.
I got the information on two ways to execute this process which are applicable in two different situation.
#1: Creating a Job Template and configuring a Job for that template (info provided by Brian Gustafson – MSFT).
In this option we need to first create the Job template either for a rule or rule set in PBM.
Once the job template is created we can create a Job for this template in Process Management where we can set all the parameters and run the Job and we don’t have to everytime set the property for running this job.
#2: Executing the process using Stored Procedure (info provided by Paul Steynberg) .
In the application database we can find the stored procedures which can be executed whenever there is data load process is done. The stored procedures are Model specific.
I hope you people find this information useful.
